Spark's Weekend Of...Reality?

This weekend my family had a family reunion in Salina to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We stayed in a hotel and got to spend a lot of time with our family. But the hotel didn't allow dogs so Spark didn't stay with us. Instead he got to spend the weekend with E and his family.

If you remember E is currently waiting on his first Service Dog from KSDS and he has come to quite a few of our puppy gatherings. At our last gathering E's mom had offered their house for a pit stop for us next time we were traveling through their area. I asked them a few weeks ago if they'd be interested in watching Spark for about 24 hours for me. E was super excited about doing it.

I was a little worried about how Spark would do because he has been a real brat for my family when I've been at work in the afternoon. (More about my new job another time.) I was afraid he might pull E or dribble in their house or chase and torment their little dog or he would just spend the entire time looking for me. Apparently he was a great dog. (I think maybe he knows who needs his help and who doesn't because I've noticed he is calmer around physically impaired people then he is around other people, I've never payed much attention to his behavior around anyone who is visually impaired. I don't know maybe I'm just imagining what I want.)

He was calm and quiet.

He didn't pull E at all when he was walking him.

He watched E when he threw his toys rather then watching the toy.

And I think he really likes E.
Look at that puppy smile! : ) Someone was happy!

Spark was  so popular E and his sister L both slept in E's room to be with Spark! :) E has the perfect setup for a dog. Lots of room in his bedroom for a crate and a door to the back yard. Hopefully E can get his own dog soon!

The best thing was he slept the whole trip home and then all evening and night long!
On the way there my brother let Spark use his pillow.

Can you say SPOILED!???

Sorry moving vehicle=blurry pictures. : (

Sooooo Sleepy!

THANK YOU E AND YOUR FAMILY FOR WATCHING SPARK FOR ME! HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT! Oh, and happy late birthday L.

    1. Thanks you and you're welcome. Anytime we're needing someone near you we'll keep you in mind. Maybe by doing this it can help E get his own dog sooner.

    1. Elijah- Thanks. I hope he makes as good an SD as Dembre. He will turn-in sometime between probably this September and next March. They're a bit behind on calling litters back. Hopefully sooner rather then later.
